HAITI: POVERTY
Billy and I travelled to Haiti in conjunction with the charity Scottish International Relief (now Mary’s Meals) to witness the horrendous conditions people endure in a slum called Cite Soleil in the nation’s capital city, Port Au Prince. We gained unprecedented access to the armed gang leaders who are at war with the UN and spent a week with a community that is desperate for peace. Haiti is one of the world’s forgotten crises.
