1985 ‘Natural Light’ a book of portraits of Scottish authors is published.
Exhibition opens Edinburgh Book Festival and tours Scotland.
1988 – 2006 Staff photographer at The Herald newspaper in Glasgow, Scotland. During this time I won several Scottish and UK photojournalism
awards. These included Scottish Photographer of the Year (twice), the first and only female to do so. Also, Scottish/UK Feature Photo of the Year (four times). Various other awards.
2007 Freelance focusing on humanitarian and social issues.
2008 ‘Life after Iraq’ exhibition. Opens Glasgow, tours UK.
2009 ‘The Peacemakers’ exhibition stories from Palestine and Israel . Opens Scottish Parliament tours Scotland.
2010 ‘Pictures from the Middle East’. Edinburgh Film House
2011 ‘Victims of Torture’ exhibition. Many asylum seekers who come to UK have been physically and mentally tortured. Glasgow.
2012 Awarded a 3 month fellowship in document photography with British School at Rome. I went back to my roots of street and urban landscape.
2013/14 Creative Scotland grant to revisit 'Natural Light' portraits of Scottish writers with view to a book
2016 ‘Natural Light II’ is published
Peshawar, Pakistan, to document the work of ‘Aware Girls’. They are a small ngo set up to educate and raise awareness about extremism.
2017 Iraq, to document the plight of refugees flooding over the Kurdish border, mostly from Mosul.
2018 Athens, Greece, to report on ‘The Golden Dawn’ trial…A Far Right party, responsible for inciting violence against migrants.
2019 Bukavu, DRC. Commissioned by SCIAF(Scottish International Catholic Aid Fund) to document the female survivors of rape/ torture.
2020/2021 STILL LIFE I document life during lockdown with poet/ writer Henry Bell
2022 STILL LIFE exhibition opens with accompanying book.
2024/25 New Scots. Portraits of refugees who have settled in Scotland commisioned by Scottish Refugee Council on the occasion of their 40th anniversary.
